UQ is indeed one of the world class university. When I first saw the campus during my cousin's graduation, I knew I wanted to come here already. Besides, it is one of the few universities in Australia that offers food technology.
It think its easy. I had a diploma in Food Science and Technology with is directly related to my course and I managed to get advance standing so I only need to study 2 years instead of 4 years. The whole enrolment process was easier than I thought.
I had no funding opportunities or any financial assistance.
In Food Technology, I study the application of food science to the selection, preservation, processing, packaging, distribution, and use of safe, nutritious, and wholesome food. Everyone I know is very polite and friendly. The course is value for money, I got to learn so much more than I can imagine.
I like it so much that I don't feel like going back home after I graduate. The weather is perfect. Australia is a really nice country to live in, apart for the flies during summer. I did not work part-time cos i really need to focus on my studies. I did not join any student union.
I haven't not think about job prospects but with a degree, its always easier to get a job.
