Good experience to study abroad. Edith Cowan University (ECU) is a good uni and there are many courses to choose from. I chose ECU because I heard many compliments about ECU from my friends. I do have a good time studying and enjoying my stay in Perth.
It is relatively easy to get in. As long as you follow the correct procedure which is quite standardized, there should not be a problem. The tips is to go to the uni's website and read carefully on the instructions and also, with the help of an agent in your home country can help to ensure a stress-free application and that is what i did. I got the help of IDP and they told me the stuff to be done and it is really easy.
For international students, the tuition fees can be expensive and funding opportunities can be limited. I did not get any funding opportunities.
I think studying in Australia is much better as it is less stressful than studying in my home country, mainly because of units overloading in my home country. Well, I have a very good experience here and I am able to learn much better and the environment is really conducive for students to learn. ECU provides all the necessary support to the students and it is value for money.
Perth is a rather quiet city, so I find myself to be rather bored at times. Internet is expensive. Very different from my home country. Aussie slang can be rather difficult to comprehend but I think it takes some time to get used to it. I have yet to join any clubs and societies. My accommodation is not too bad but I still find it expensive. For me, part-time work is necessary as I need to pay my rent.
I reckon job prospects will increase.
