Course description:
This aspect of studies covers both disciplines in hotels, rooms division and food and beverage Certificate IV represents a qualification that is based on more sophisticated technical applications involving competencies requiring increased theoretical knowledge, applied in a non-routine environment and which may involve team leadership and management and increased responsibility for outcomes. The qualification will help the graduate to intimately understand and have the knowledge and skills to work in the following areas of a hotel, resort, restaurant, etc.
Entry requirements:
Students must have completed the Australian Year 11 or equivalent. They should have an IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent. Mature age students with satisfactory industry experience.

Venue Description:
The city of Perth in Western Australia is the location of the Australian Academy of Hospitality Management. It is a friendly and comfortable environment for students. There are many world class hotels within short walking distance from AAHM which makes it ideal for those working in the city. The aim is to prepare students for management positions in leading hotels, restaurants and leisure facilities worldwide through a combination of innovative studies and hands-on experience in different properties and environments. Bar | Restaurant: Coffee machine, roaster and grinder, glass washer, electronic pourers, ice maker, touch screen POS, Gueridon and Silver Service training. Genuine spirits and liqueurs used at all times. Student Recreation Room: Comfortable student sitting room with cafe chairs and refreshments station for use during free time. Free tea and coffee making facilities, biscuits, filtered water and microwave. Lecture Rooms: Private restaurant and bar contracted for practical assessment. Each room with its own electrical white board, one with totally interactive whiteboard. All rooms with digital projectors/printers. All room have their own computers and brand new ergonomic desk/chairs. Note: most class sizes limited to 12 students where possible. Computer Lab: 17 Pentium 4, 256MB RAM, 40GB HD, TFT screens, 512 KBPB ADSL internet access. Two Black and White laser printers and one colour laser printer. Memory stick usage in front USB ports. Reference Library: computers, laser printer and student photocopier (FREE).
