This course is a double degree, providing qualifications in Actuarial Studies and Economics. Actuaries analyse and manage the risks of financial contracts. The actuary’s work is based on the application of mathematical, statistical, economic and financial analysis to a range of practical problems in long-term financial planning and management. Actuaries relate numbers to real life. The Bachelor of Economics provides an excellent education for those wanting either to become professional economists or to develop a greater depth of understanding of the complexities of the economic system.
