The Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) in Canberra is a centre for higher education for the Australian Defence Force. ADFA opened in 1986. Within the Academy, the University of New South Wales (UNSW) has established a college, known as UNSW@ADFA (formerly University College), offering undergraduate programs leading to UNSW bachelor degrees in arts, business, engineering, science, and technology. Additionally the College offers graduate study and research programs leading to higher degrees, diplomas and certificates.
